It's the locals #1 spot to enjoy great food and drinks. Friendly staff and management, treat regulars like family, excellent service. Clean restaurant, good atmosphere. You can't go wrong if you like good margaritas and Mexican food. Great place to celebrate a birthday with staff and friends. Recommend the Camino Dip and the Casero chunky Guacamole to start. Shrimp soup is a must if your in the mood for soup with a slight kick to warm you up. Thankful for good Mexican food on Signal Mountain. 5 stars. We'll be back. Probably tomorrow....just kidding...but seriously, probably tomorrow. See you there.

My wife and I stopped in for an early dinner on New Year Eve at about 4:30. We were the only customers dining in but were promptly greeted and seated. I had the seafood combo, which was tilapia and shrimp with rice and vegetables. My wife had the birria tacos and a margarita. We both enjoyed our meal, which was just under $50.

The food was good. The atmosphere was okay. The service was just okay. We were up on signal mountain for something else and just stopped in bc we love the one in Hixson.

Oh, what a fiesta of flavors we experienced here! From the first bite to the last, our taste buds danced all night. The mouthwatering tacos and burritos, the salsa, and the heavenly cheese dip stole our hearts! 🌮❤️ I love bringing guests and my 4 kids here! The ambiance was so warm and inviting, and the staff made us feel like part of the family. We left with happy hearts and full bellies! Can't wait to return for another delicious meal! 🌟🎉

Hidden gem, the food here was so good and our waiter Luis was superb. Huge portions for the price and the standout was the al pastor. The drinks were also fantastic and the dessert was absolutely delicious!

We love El Metate - the food is always good! Margaritas yummy! Staff so friendly! Quick service! No problem waiting because it’s a friendly atmosphere with plenty to visit with if so inclined- or watch tv if not engrossed in phones. 😆 Great place overall! And thankful they support our school and community!!

I have not been on Signal Mountain in decades. So, most everything is new to me. My first impression of El Metate is good. They seated me immediately and a waitress was at my table almost instantly. I ordered a shredded chicken Taco salad …

Signal Mountain has only a handful of restaurants, but this particular one is undoubtedly a town favorite. It can get a bit busy after church on Sundays, but overall, it guarantees a fantastic experience with excellent service and delicious Mexican cuisine. It's definitely a place worth visiting. Goodbye!
